DESIGN FOR HUMANITY

Along with some pretty sweet beach and street wear, Billabong also kicks in with a cool initiative called Design for Humanity. Part of the Billabong Girls' charitable division, it's carved out of the Billabong philosophy of 'Be the change you want in the world', and challenges people to get amongst it and make a difference.

Design for Humanity has hooked up with SurfAid International to help them raise some funds for the top work they do. SurfAid International is a non-profit humanitarian organisation with a focus on improving the health and wellbeing of people living in isolated regions through community-based health programs.

An event definitely worth checking out is the first ever Design for Humanity party in Sydney on February 18, 2009 at The Forum. With hot models on the catwalk and some wicked music courtesy of CASSETTE KIDS and DJs The Bag Raiders, the event is shaping up to be HUGE! Not only that, it's rumoured that Billabong's A team riders Taj, Parko and Occy will be there. How awesome would that be? Tix are only 30 bucks and with SurfAid International getting the cash, it's a no-brainer really.
